To all of our fantastic teachers, welcome!  The PTO is looking forward to a great 2019 - 2020 school year and we hope this year is the beginning of a truly productive relationship between our parents and our teachers.

The PTO is pleased to provide many benefits to our teachers and staff in the following ways:

  • Funds and organizes Teacher Appreciation Week each year.
  • Provides $100 in grade level support to each full-time teacher annually.
  • Purchased the poster maker in the library, funds repairs as necessary, and purchases supplies on an ongoing basis.
  • Purchased the popcorn machine in the teacher’s lounge.
  • Provided $100 in matching funds for the recent improvements to the teacher’s lounge.
  • Purchased 50 Chromebooks and maintenance agreements for use in the classroom.
  • Provides breakfast on the teacher’s first day back at school.
  • Provided snacks for the teacher’s lounge and purchased smoothies for the first day of school last year.
  • Provides minimum $3,000 to the Principal annually for use as the Principal deems appropriate, but with the goal of supporting the teachers. This has been used in the past for teacher lunches and gifts.

In addition to these regular benefits, this summer the PTO was busy making great use of the funds raised by our Boosterthon Fun Run. As teachers return to school this week, they will find their requested items waiting for them and we are so excited to see these items come alive in the classroom. Here are some of the things you will see at CRE:

  • 279 pieces of flexible seating, including wobble stools, bean bag chairs, and balance balls
  • 42 lap desks
  • 57 fidget bands
  • 7 rugs
  • 12 book sets
  • 5 document cameras
  • 3 drones
  • 45 games and puzzles for Search
  • 1 balance beam and hockey goals for P.E.
  • 1 Music cart
  • 1 Art drying rack
  • A huge Library makeover
  • And the list goes on.
